Looking for some amazing BBQ and grill recipes this weekend? Check out the Boss of the Sauce BBQ Festival about to kick off in Jacksonville, Florida.
El Yucateco Hot Sauce, Grill Perks, and Operation BBQ Relief are joining forces for the next three days (April 8-10, 2021) to cook up some of the state's best spring festival food along the bank of the St. Johns River.
The idea for a local BBQ competition started small, but Boss of the Sauce has grown into "the first-ever World Championship Qualifying BBQ Competition to be held in Northeast Florida." Officially sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society, they're attracting a crack team of grill experts and sauce lovers to celebrate and share BBQ culture.
Hot Grill Heroes
Operation BBQ Relief, a non-profit organization that provides hot meals to communities impacted by disasters, will be on-site cooking up a storm. They attend fun events like this to raise awareness and funds for their relief efforts while filling your plate with delicious BBQ.
If you live in the Jacksonville area, be sure to stop by! Besides delicious food, there's also live music and local artists, all outdoors and safely spaced throughout the Riverfront Plaza. We'll also be giving away fun swag, so check-in online and tag us on social!
If you're further away, however, you can still join the fun. Each of the recipe names links straight to the recipe, so you can try them out for yourself this weekend! It's never too early to break out that grill!
